Desktop Notifications for Stack Exchange - Get Notified When You Receive a New Message

What is Stack Exchange? Stack Exchange is the most trusted and largest Q&A community on the web. It’s a place where people can talk about anything that interests them. It's a place where you can post any question you want and have it reach millions of people. Stack Exchange has something for everyone, from beginners to experts.

Are you looking for a quick way to get notified when you receive a new message on your Stack Exchange account? If so, you're in the right place. Desktop Notifications for Stack Exchange is an add-on for Firefox. This add-on makes it easy for you to get notified about any new message on your Stack Exchange account in real-time. With this add-on, you won't have to remember to check your emails, chats, or notifications.

The add-on is available on both Chrome and Firefox.

Please note that, like all add-ons, the installation may result in a warning dialog box. Please click the "Allow" button to continue.

How does it work?

When you install the add-on, you will be prompted to add your Stack Exchange account. Next, you will be required to set a StackExchange API token and optionally to use StackExchange's mechanism to grant an API token. You will be given a warning that you should only set a StackExchange ID without granting the token. If you proceed, you will be given the API token to use.

To use the add-on, just open the options page and enter your credentials (which will be saved in the browser), and you will be notified about any new message in real-time.
